Commercial Office Development

H&R Block Call Center

4400 Blue Parkway, built as H&R Block’s Service Center, consists of an 85,000-square-foot Class A state-of-the-art office building and call center surrounded by parkland and the Lake of the Enshriners at Kensington and Blue Parkway. This $14.8 million dollar investment served as a catalyst for job creation in the urban core.

4001 Blue Parkway

The award winning Blue Parkway Office Building features three stories of 69,000 square feet of Class A office space. It was constructed as the first speculative commercial office building in the area in more than 30 years. With a $10.5 million investment, it offers high quality design components, such as raised floors throughout, as well as numerous tenant amenities. The building has become a hub for social service organizations that serve the surrounding area including Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City and Legal Aid of Western Missouri.

The Shops on Blue Parkway

The Shops on Blue Parkway, located at Kensington and Blue Parkway, offers area residents valuable services, including Sun Fresh grocery store, H&R Block and Missouri Department of Social Services, with national brand retail stores and restaurants such as Footlocker, T-Mobile, Subway and Wingstop. With more than 155,000 square feet of Class A retail/office space and an investment of more than $35 million dollars, The Shops on Blue Parkway, which are at 90 percent occupancy, have been recognized with a Cornerstone Award from the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri. The shopping center serves an estimated 74,000 residents and more than 3,000 employees within a three-mile radius.

Commercial Institutional Development

Swope Health Services Main Campus

Located at 3801 Blue Parkway, Swope Health Services provides a full array of health-related services including medical, behavioral health, dental, community outreach, home health care program, transportation to and from appointments and WIC. The campus serves more than 200,000 annual visitors. CBKC developed this property as the first component of the Mt. Cleveland Initiative.

Thomas Roque Development Center

The Thomas Roque YMCA Head Start program, located at 3800 East 51st Street, offers educational services to the underserved through a Head Start program. CBKC developed this community asset as a critical component in the Mt. Cleveland Initiative.
